Event Planning and Coordination
Cowgirl Market

Cowgirl Market was created with the vision of promoting small businesses and providing a unique shopping experience. The market features 25 vendors, primarily small businesses from Stillwater, Oklahoma, and beyond, with a strong focus on student-owned enterprises. In both 2023 and 2024, I, along with a few friends who volunteered, hosted the event. My responsibilities included securing the location, coordinating with vendors, advertising, and managing event logistics.
Each year, Cowgirl Market is held during the same weekend as the Cowboy Stampede, an event hosted by the Oklahoma State University Rodeo Team. In 2024, we expanded the market into a two-day event to enhance the shopping experience for consumers and provide vendors with more time to showcase and sell their products.
Southwest Cattle Clinic

Southwest Cattle Clinic is a program dedicated to shaping the future of the agriculture industry. It was built on the belief that showing cattle is one of the best ways to engage and inspire the next generation. The clinic’s slogan, “Next Generation Showmen,” originated as a phrase among staff during the planning of the first event in 2021. The primary goal is to train showmen for today’s show ring by fostering a positive, motivating environment.
I hosted the clinic for two years, managing everything from securing the facility to planning the curriculum, recruiting sponsors and staff, and advertising the event. During this time, we reached nearly 100 showmen and their families. The clinic also included a special session for parents, offering practical tips on practicing at home, appropriate attire, and advice from experienced showmen.
I am deeply passionate about education and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to host an event of this scale, focused on supporting the next generation of showmen.
Southwest Classic Jackpot

Southwest Classic was a jackpot cattle show held in Hope, Arkansas, in March 2023. I was responsible for planning the
event, which included selecting the location, choosing the judges to evaluate the cattle, picking out the prizes, and securing sponsors to help cover the costs. Advertising for the show took place over several months, utilizing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and industry connections.
Before arriving, exhibitors and their families were informed of the show order for the event. Check-in was held on Friday evening and Saturday morning before the show started. On the day of the event, my team of volunteers and I ensured that everything ran smoothly. The show featured 12 businesses in a trade show and three food truck vendors.
Across two rings, nearly 500 head of cattle were exhibited, 15 small businesses were supported, and $3,000 in prizes and checks were awarded. The event was a great success, and many good memories were shared by all who attended.
